In the 20th Century, nudism has been well documented via magazines as early as the 1920's and continuing to the present day.

Some of the earliest publications in the United States were The Nudist and International Nude-Land.

In the UK, Health and Efficiency traces its roots back to 1900 and continues to publish to this day, although ownership has changed hands a number of times.

In the 1950's and 1960's, publications such as Helios, Gymnos, Sun and Health Review, SUdN, and Solis were imported to the USA and were known for their beautiful photography and forward-thinking commentary.

The publication of Nudist magazines flourished in the USA in the 1960's with such titles as Sundial.

A rather good, although heavily airbrushed at times, magazine from Canada was Sunbathing for Health.
