Welcome to gymnosophy.org! Gymnosophy was originally the doctrines of a sect of philosophers who practiced nudity and asceticism and meditation. In the early 20th century, the term was appropriated by several groups to denote a broad philosophy that included as a central thought that the nude human body is a natural condition and should be accepted widely for the betterment of society. This philosophy is related closely and, often interchangeably, with nudism and naturism. The topic index is good if you're looking for specific information. Are you here looking for nude pictures? You can also browse our collection of nudist and naturist information by categories such as ephemera and periodicals. You may also browse geographically or even browse chronologically. Note: This site contains text and images discussing and depicting nudity. There is no erotic content here. If you are offended by nudity, or legally restricted from viewing such material, please do not continue to view this site. Thanks!
